“Sari Aghjik” is an Armenian Folk Song” initiative is aimed at identifying and spreading the Armenian roots of the song among the local youth. The roots were partially forgotten after the Armenian Genocide in 1915. First of all, the initiative places great importance on the Armenian cultural heritage in the context of protecting it and preventing the foreign ambitions towards the song.

This beautiful song, of course, is the achievement of the whole region; it is sung in Turkish, Kurdish, Persian, Arabic, Georgian, and other languages in different countries. However, it is crucial to remember the Armenian roots and the original Armenian text of the song.
